“Working on anything that needs to say “Australian” is an incredibly difficult challenge, if you’re intention is to be original, that is. Aiming to avoid visual clichés of Australian-ness, such as kangaroos, the Australian map, the solution was found by looking up.
Design & Art Australia Online is an online portfolio tool, cross social network crossed with a wiki style encyclopedia, catering to designers, artists and researchers. The southern cross presented an opportunity to capture an expression of Australian, could be linked together to form a network, and endlessly varied and re-drawn to communicate creativity.”
