Love it! The colors work well, the negative space is great and the concept works well for the business as well.
I personally like it – simple, memorable, and has character.
Nice logo, not crazy about the colored one, but the gray scale one on his site really brings out the pencil more.
Brilliant!
I really like the concept, but to be honest I didn’t see the pencil until I read the description. Try a darker, more saturated look to the colored one to accentuate the pencil.
I like the concept however, I didn’t see the pencil right away. I would have made the “R” a solid colour instead of using multiple colours within the letter.
nice one, kind of reminds me new melbourne city logo.
Yes, very close to perfect. The lighter color with the swishes distracts from the negative space – I didn’t see the pencil at first. Good job.
I didn’t see the pencil right away either, but that isn’t a bad thing. I like when I discover elements later on. The colors aren’t my thing though. I think it would be better as a solid or at least more opaque colors.
I feel like I’m beating a dead horse about the pencil but I’ll add my two cents.
The concept is great however, I didn’t pick up on the pencil for two reasons. One being that the colors going on inside the logo distracted me. Second the pencil isn’t the right shape for a pencil. The pencil shown is square. If it portrayed more of a hexagon or octagon shape it might be easier to pick up on.
I like the concept, but I wouldn’t have noticed the pencil shape either if I wasn’t told. Great combination of colours though.
Excellent arty vibe.
Really nice logo, simple and memorable!
Design might not work for embroidery without some adjustments. You should be able to get your logo embroidered on shirts and other wearables to reinforce your identity.
It looks like a direct rip-off of the new City of Melbourne logo that has recently come out.

Thanks for the comments guys…
@Glen Don’t really see how it is a direct rip-off
