Beach Geek is a small business and residential IT company based out of the Jersey Shore area. Although they are an IT company, Beach Geek guy’s are really all around technology experts. The icon is called the “PowerPalm”. Here I wanted to create a simple, clean mark that would incorporate both sides of the theme, beach and geek. I used a Palm tree with the universal power symbol to create a memorable icon that will stand the test of time. The mixture of these symbols also creates a small island with a Palm Tree.”

This logo is really great. I like it a lot. I think the font fits perfectly.

I love seeing clever logos that were actually designed for an existing company, and not just for Brandstack. So much more effort goes into coming up with something like this.

I took a look at your site and I am quite impressed.

Well done.

For your information, Logo of the day is no longer accepting “for sale” or “just for fun” logo designs.

I really like it. The power symbol has always kind of spoken to me for some reason, and the palm tree was clever and pulled off well.

That’s great to hear Jacob.

I’m still loving this logo. I bet it was a great feeling when this idea hit you.

I’m a sucker for double-meaning designs.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

@Paul – This concept was one of my first sketches. After a couple days of conceptualizing, it grew on me. Turned out my client liked it too. :)

Again, thanks!

Looks an awful lot like the existing EcoGeek logo.

Not so fan of the font, but the symbol is brilliant ^__^

@DChuck – Thanks! Yes, the client seems to be very happy with the result.

@EcoGeek – You are right, after looking at the EcoGeek logo, they are similar. I guess no matter what you do, somewhere out there is something “similar”. :)

@bnicole – Thanks! I wanted to keep the font simple so it would detract from the icon. However, I did modify the font to make it “match” the aesthetics of the power symbol as much as possible.

This to me symbolizes what a logo design should be! It is clever, original, memorable, clean, and utilizes positive and negative space, and is easy to reproduce. Very well done! Amazing logo design!
