I can see why this won. Brilliant in concept.
Exceptional usage of typography! Like how they further refined the & to fit nicely in the O. Great logo!
Very clever!
Nice concept, the word “child” could easily get lost when used in smaller applications. Font spacing is a bit funky, but over all nice concept.
I’ve seen this logo before, but never realised it had not been used.
Good work
Brilliant concept, nice execution, great font choice, its so great, I hate that I came up with something negative to say about it, but: if it were to be sized down, ‘child’ might get lost slightly since its first off, so small, and second, the thin font style
clever and straight to the message!
I like it!
Quite clever.
this is very nice. it has such a deeper meaning when you read into the shapes..
That’s what I define smart logo! Brilliant combination of & and O. Although was designed some years ago,
it is still up to date. Nice one.
mmmmmmmm…Herrb…
I love that! It’s sad it hasn’t been used everyone should get to see it.
I also like the concept but was wondering if the “&” was supposed to resemble a fetus?
Very well thought of! I think it is a great concept.
Really lovely type. I love the foetal ampersand
I think that even if it fits the concept of being in the womb, the word “Child” is a bit too small
A timeless classic. Herb Labalin is a genius.
A classic logo. I remember discussing this logo and the the magazine it was created for in Art History class years ago… one of the many things that had me fall in love with graphic design.
wow… brilliant concept !!!
A wonderful concept, but I agree with others that the word ‘child’ could easily be lost at a reduced size.
very nice concept but i think “child” its very small… imagine the logo in a business card!
Love it,really simple but impactful.
This is a great concept… but totally not original.

I love it! And it was 1965. This logo is pure LUBALIN….. that´s why he was THE tipographer. A total and complete genious to me. Comment about the size of the word “child”: the logo was designed for a magazine, it was probably the headline fot the cover, so it wasn´t going to be printed in a smaller size.
Besides, having read all I could about Herb (Im big fan!!), I´m sure he must have designed a version specially to be used in smaller pieces. The man had a thing with tipography….
To everyone, excuse my english, it´s not my language.
