It definitely is fun to look at. Lines are clear and crisp that easily defines the layers of the burger. Though I think it looks good only in color. Think it looks kind of heavy and too bloated when used in grayscale.
Clever concept, however personally I think the execution is a bit out of wack. The quirky graphic and ‘blocky’ font gives off a franchise/affordable takeaway vibe, yet the imagery (I hope you got permission to use those photos btw…) envokes high class, fine dining feeling… I’m getting mixed messages. I would be intrigued to see who this is aimed at.

@adamo i agree wholeheartedly. i expected to see a post-retro burger bar takeaway place which i think would suit it perfectly. the images however definitely portray controlled, minimal, grassroots, local, inspired eatery. i can’t reconcile this either.
upon a bit of thought though – if this was in LA it’d probably work. it’s different enough to at least get attention in a market so highly saturated with ideas already.
Nice logo ! I like it !
Just a point, it is a great shame that the identity (http://www.mcguiredesign.com/burger-workshop-branding/) just seems to be a simple copy paste of this : http://foreignpolicydesign.com/v3/works/table-no1/ !

I think the logo is pretty cool. Nice work
very clever – with a bit of humor it effectively conveys exactly what it is promoting. The font choice is perfect as well. Good Job!
