Logo Of The Day Award Winner:

2011-01-20 | Omelette Bistro

“Omelette” is chosen to represent simple and fast but tasty dishes offered by the restaurant. The logo is just a scribble to symbolize an omelette, which is cooked by “scribbling” the egg. Student work.

Nice work Yeria, very refined. I would be quite interested to see what you come up with for stationery/signage etc (if you end up doing it) Post it if you do!

At first glance I loved this. However, I do think there is a bit of redundancy with the omelet scribble and the script used for the name.

100% agree with hannah

Although it’s not particularly original the logo is a nice play on the business name and it’s been well executed.

I can’t really understand why this logo is rated so much. Yellow sketches doesn’t illustrate omelette and I red “L” as “C”.

It wasn’t before I got to this page before that I realised this logo was about omettes. It’s neither appropriate nor simple in my opinion.

@Efe Buyuran, you are right about the letter ‘L’ but def wrong about the rest, it’s rated highly because of the pleasant composition, appealing food-like (egg!!) colour and it both appropriate and simple!
