Logo Of The Day Award Winner:

2010-12-06 | Beerly Beloved

This logo was created for a 50-page book all about beer. Erin Mercurio and Krisna MacDonald collaborated on this publication covering six different types of beer for a Typography class at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The logo embodies the feeling of beer, while still having a sense of humor. The book is full of facts and history, as well as two college students’ own perspectives on the different varieties of beer. Drink up! See in use.

Maybe it´s the main color of that book design scheme, but in this case, that dark turquoise tries to destroy everything on this one…. get rid of it!!

One of the best logos I’ve seen lately. The book looks great too. And -sorry Ariel- I like that dark turquoise.

I agree with Ariel, not a huge fan of the colours… My thoughts are that its too cute for beer, but i guess that’s the comical side of it. The ribbon/crest is too neat, I would push this further to make it more unique.

I love the wood embellishment on the book though.

Got no qualms with the design. The endearment of “Dearly Beloved” , in my oipinion can carry the old fashioned country stitching, wall paper theme and even the drab colors. Only thing: Change name to Beerly Deloved.
