At first look I though ummm..
But after I understood the concept, I said..

Then I clicked over Wylie link, I thought

Thinking about it again…logos with a thread and needle are always going to look a little similiar. I guess you have to be pretty creative to make it stand out, which in this case, doesn’t really when compared to http://logooftheday.com/2010-04-01-rosalyn-custom-totes/

I can help but agree with Heinrich. The needle is also huge. A slimmer needle would definitely help.

It seems like a lot of thought is putting on picking up this “logos of the day”…

The Nordstrom logo was created over a year before the Roselyn Totes one.

So point your fingers the other way. Read the comments from the link below.

Err. Well at least 7 months before, given the Grain Edit date. ;)

Aside from any copying issues, it still is an appealing logo to me…

Here is another example of this type of threaded logo which works well too and doesn’t look like the above.

I think that this idea is always going to look similar even if it hasn’t been copied. I have designed a similar logo myself in the past based on Monograms/cotton/needle I might revisit at some point. I still love this concept though.
