I wonder if they tried just using the V itself and baseline shifting it down. The arrow feels a little forced.

Sorry, not a fan. The emphasis on the visual wordplay… and not on the company and its services. There is no relation, no objective. Just eye-candy.

Shea, I agree. The arrow looks too contrived. I like the idea of the V-shape shifted below the baseline and perhaps with a more interesting look (an inverted pyramid with just a tiny inverted pyramid at the middle top? – or none at all).

I really like Shea’s idea. I also think this logo looks too much like city transit signage.

This reminds me too much of Etnies, they’ve already got an image with their logo, so it will be hard to build a better image with this logo.
