Bob’s House For Dogs is a non-profit organization in Eau Claire, WI that provides stray and unwanted dogs with a home-like environment, keeping them out of inadequate shelters and off the streets. The name was inspired by Bob, one of the first dogs taken into the house. The logo serves as a clever and memorable mark, as it combines Bob’s first initial with the shape of Bob the dog himself. See in use.

[...] Staci is a great example of what we all strive to achieve while being here at Stout. If you remember, she was featured in The Dieline a month back for her packaging and now she’s made it on Logo of the Day for Bob’s House for Dogs Logo. Check it out: http://logooftheday.com/2010-04-19-bobs-house-for-dogs/ [...]
i like this logo….. simple, yet effective with a touch of class.
So, so clever!
good and friendly!! just what a dog is for me!
What a perfect solution!
wow, nice design
Friendly! =)
It could have some color to make it happier, but it’s great.
Very nice !
Good job !
Nice work.. very clever idea.
googd thanks a lot, this is very useful!!
I am actually not fond of the font usage in this logo. I would have gone maybe a bit fatter-like font with less curves and more straight lines. The roof is too curvy for me, as well. It look pagoda-like.
I am a volunteer with Bob’s House for dogs and originally contacted UW-Stout to find someone to develop the Bob’s House logo.
Many of the students provided great ideas to me; however, when Staci showed me this logo, it was so far beyond the others and what I expected. The elegance, simplicity and wonderful creativity is truely remarkable. This wonderful logo has helped to make Bob’s House for Dogs quickly recognizable to many people in and away from our small community and that helps to save the lives of dogs.
Staci, you should be very proud that you provided such a large and wonderful helping hand to help save countless dogs in need.
The logo is very clever and I can see why it is very effective. Now, I think its time to update the website.
“Craig Reynolds” as in graphics super-guru Craig Reynolds? If you have input regarding the website, then having you stumbling on a dead posting 4 months after the previous post is very fortuitous for me! How did you stumble on this post? I found it because I am the website author and I was working on bumping the site up on search engine listings. I am very open to any suggestions you might have regarding the website design, although it seems outside the scoop of this forum. Please drop me an e-mail at dale@bobshousefordogs.org with any suggestions you might have… remember, it is a non-profit organization and any help is appreciated!!

Perfect combination of negative and positive space communicating the ideas of the client. Kudos to Staci for a logo that should last for years.
