“Amber Music is one of the preeminent music production companies in the world, with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
Founded in 1993 by Michelle Curran, Amber’s composers and sound designers have consistently produced award wining work for a range of global clients, most recently receiving a Gold Lion at Cannes for Best Use of Music in 2008, and the only Gold Clio that was awarded in the Music category in 2009.
The final logo was based on how music is interpreted through a sound recorder. One continuous line from the beginning to the end. The logo was hand rendered with my own handwriting and I must say was a challenge itself. Refining the logos shapes and curves took me hours. Making sure the lines flow from one end to another while maintaing it’s balance. The red sun icon derives from their old logo to make direct ties with the old to the new.”

Beautiful logo, very clean and crisp. I like the orange sun spot color. well done!
This is ace.
Interesting type treatment but the orange thing looks like a spur on a cowboy boot. This logo doesn’t quite sing for me.
Very simple & clean. Although, I agree with Deano. I think the orange “sun” is distracting. I would make the lines coming from the sun look more fluid like how type was handled. Maybe make the “sun” more 3 dimensional by filling it the solid orange and adding some depth with light and shadows.
I like the handwritten font you created. Nice work!
Amazing logo! Simple, clean and memorable, all the qualities that a font should have!
What a liked the most is the font used, I love it!
The handwritten and coloring is good but the orange spot…nope! if it would be some sort of musical symbols or any mix of music and amber harmony. It doesn’t work!
Hate to jump on the bandwagon but the “sun” icon doesn’t do anything for me. Further more, when I hear the word amber, I think a deep honey color not the red-orange that I see here.
I do love the handwritten type though.
Reminiscent of the Alberta logo, but I like it a lot!
