Clever idea with the ‘G’, but agree with AlexTex. The Recycle symbol is very old hat. In a this world of the environmentally conscious, designers are going to have to try a lot harder.

No more rehashed versions of Gary Anderson’s work, and definitely no more pretty green leafs either.

I think the idea sounds good, but in execution the amount that the recycling symbol has to be altered vitiates its effectiveness (Word of the day. YES) Anyway. Also the house seems to be a bit out of place. It’s a good idea, just not quite simple enough.

The concept is there, but the execution of it needs some work. Trying to turn the symbol into a G ruins the continuity of the recycling symbol and therefore the continuity of the cycle and the intended meaning of the symbol.

Also, at first glance, rather than a G, the icon just looks like a misshapen recycling symbol. I like the idea, but it doesn’t quite work for me.

Unfortunately the idea of recycling is broken here. I don’t know if it is just a mistake or maybe on purpose but it looks like this house is only ejecting the waste/energy/materials to be reused by someone else – so this is completely what it should do when refering to ecology.
I believe it is important to care about the idea of the signs we are transforming

Eco-logo and eco-design… Clever the idea of the “G” but ecycling symbol is so abused with this kind of concepts… missing originality I think.
