This is a very good logo. Definitely not in the main stream and this is special.
I have no problem with reading the name and even if I had I wouldn’t say that showing a clear lettering is the main goal fot this design (if it’s hard to read than treat it like a symbol – like “swoosh”).
I really like the original take of typography and the reference to the code. Also there is some kind of oldschool feeling while the whole logo is clearly modern.
The only thing I would do is dropping this gray background

this a is really a nice logo..havent seen such logo till date,,, & it is d best among koda, collage & liam’s logo..
Hey!! Y’ll thanx for commenting on design, and It was just an abstract logo, the accepted logo is far different from it it’s more like ‘{;}’. Initially the company was not sure in what field they want to move in, so just an abstract logo. The live logo you can see on http://codescape.in , (the top left).
And I agree with Maciej Szylke, gray should definitely be dropped What about beige ?

I like the idea of geometrical design , luks pretty genuine … but yeah , background color seems to be begging for a change
@ Abhishek Jain, you might don’t have to read the “symbols” but logos should be easy to read! can you imagine if the logo print on a pen? for me the logo it doesn’t have all the qualification of a good logo. make a logo hard to read in order to stand out of the crowd is risky way I just don’t like. about they are design and print media company, sorry i didn’t see that i just read @tcanny.

awesome logo J….
@tareq samman…who gives a rats ass to what u like and what u don’t…..the logo is great….so it would be…regardless of your expert opinion which is based on hazy knowledge of the subject…
@Tareq Yes, actually I can imagine this logo on a pen and it is not less readable than Butterfly logo chosen as logo of the month previously, for sure
Actually this is a very good logo for printing on pens or other longer than taller things because of its dimensions
@Shivansh silly me for assuming that a logo on design website is open for criticism. Next time I’ll wear kid gloves so as not to offend your delicate sensibilities.
@Maciej, its clear we have different taste cos i love the but this is your butterfly logo! but this is your opinion and I respected about the pens printing, I still can’t see it happening! but that is not the most impotent thing about a logo. Thanks for your kind reply.
Ease, easy, no need to argue, guys
I think it’s not a taste-case. We can talk about taste when there is a matter of story told behind the design. But for me we are here talking about some objectives able to be measured like – this is a very original piece of work, definitely refers to the theme and is not amateur creation.
It’s not a matter of taste whether it is good for pens or not. It is good, why not? Because there are dots or the letters are thin? No, this is a symbol and the client will read it as “oh, this is the dot-code-snake logo, I know it!”
To be honest there would be much more problems with printing swoosh on a pen because of its shape which could be easily deformated on the roller-shaped objects. But does it make swoosh a silly logo?
Also I don’t think that any logotype should stand out of the crowd – by crowd you mean urban crowd or crowded poster with tens of other logos? For example: the most annoying thing for graphic designer when designing a poster is when you get these tens of logos and each one wants to “stand out of the crowd” and the result is that you get an ugly mix of blinking-screaming logos at the bottom and from my observations you get absolutely oposite effect – nobody wants to look at it, not to say about your poster design.
For me good logo works when it is not standing out of the crowd and this is the most hard thing to do
Wow!! I think it would make the most controversial logo of the day
@Tareq Samman if you would mail me at peeyushraj8 [attttt] gmail [dottttt] com , i’ll send you the rest of the logos/ drafts designed for the company, hope you’ll pass one of ‘em.
@tcanny – Well the Codescape written in black and white is being used as main logo of the company, with -> {;} <- as side kick [eg watermark on their stationery items, back side of card etc.]
Glad You liked it….
It is hard to read and looks like it should be a logo for a cabaret or night club rather than a software development company.
tcanny is right. The first impression is not so good.
And I’ve to blame my imagination, but the CAP part looks a little bit wired if you know what I mean.
Yes, I agree. Definetely far from a sw development company idea… Clever but not so much direct to me…
this is so bad, even if i am not a designer I will hate it. hard to read, and why it’s for a software company? Fail

@shivansh: Badiya launde.
arey yeh apne aap meri tasveer kaha se aa gayi bc
Joddy Street – I checked out the codescape website. I really like the final design. Definitely stronger and more straight forward.
@tcanny – Well the Codescape written in black and white is being used as main logo of the company, with -> {;} <- as side kick [eg watermark on their stationery items, back side of card etc.]

god, one can never read it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey dats a funny logo..
even funnier than your current logo and the site’s name… can you design one for my site scapegoat.com ?
@amal – dude no offence but i first read your name as “anal”….looks can be deceptive n misleading….
grt work joddy…nice imagination !!!
Good idea, well executed, and above all, readable. Nice one.
I like it, but I have a hard time reading the D, S, and P in the logo.
Nice concept though.
Nice work!!!!
