2010-02-02 | Atlantic Art Glass

Atlantic Art Glass – Small, husband + wife artist team glass blowing studio. In business 10 years without a formal logo design. They produce primarily one of a kind functional and decorative blown glass pieces as well as an extensive line of jewelry made from blown glass beads. Blowing glass requires an artist to constantly spin the blow pipe while working on a piece. The logo captures this spinning motion in each of the ellipse shapes. All blown glass pieces regardless of the end result begin as oval shaped molten glass. The ellipses in the logo refer to this important process related form as well as referencing the wide variety of beads produced by these artists. Color is of primary concern to both of the artist/owners of the business and needed to be reflected in the design.

Colors are soothing. I like the mark but there’s something about the type that makes it look kind of loose.

You can exactly see what type of jewelry is the logo for. However, i`d make it more simple.

Like the illustration, think the type would be better tightened up a little.
