Not a bad logo, but I’m not overly moved by it either. If the black marks are meant to indicate a piano, I think they should be a bit bigger (to be closer to the ratio of white and black keys). The Modern typeface is looks pretty good, but I think they could have done some more work with the Pizzeria line. The bottom line is just so vertical.
I agree with Rachel, it is definitely clean.
Come on guys. Not bad for a Pizza restaurant but was this worth publishing? Is this the best logo of the day? As a design and branding specialist myself I think you have got to be kidding. I am going shopping (in Leeds, UK) today and will see at least a dozen logos better than this. 1 out of 5 is the best this will get. Let’s see you get back on track and showcase some GREAT logos on here please.

Ha. I live in Leeds, go us.
Anyway, In my opinion it seems as if they had an idea of using the black lines to make piano keys and were determined to fit it in, in that way, and so restricted themselves. The tiny black lines aren’t really enough to make it resemble keys for me.

I think the problem lies with the name of this pizzeria, and then trying to incorporate the piano keys with the name just doesn’t work.If the name doesn’t work, the logo won’t either.
Bold, distinct, clean. Two thumbs up. I would like to see the Pizzeria in a different font; a brush script in lowercase.
