Ride the Rockies is an annual bike tour through the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The logos were developed to represent the open feeling of the tour and showcase the environment during the daytime and nighttime. Unused Proposal.

Love it. Love the idea. Love the design. The day-niht thing is very creative too!
I love the colors and typography, and I too like the two versions, but I am a little curious how they would be used, would there be two separate posters (for example) using each separate logo? or would they both be used on one poster?
Sorry to say, but except for the day/night thing, I don’t like it…
I tend to say that in our oversaturated visual culture, in 2009, designers could push the reflexion way further than put a bike and mountains for an an event called “ride the rockies”…
A logo don’t have to tell a whole story, it has to create a remarkable/memorable identity.
I agree with binocle. The logos seem to straight forward. The whole bike floating in the sky isn’t really doing it for me. And they remind me of the glass art you see in churches with their shape. I think there was a good idea here, it just wasn’t executed to it’s best.
in my opinion, black line is unnecessary. but it is success, congratulations…
