Homebrew is an audio / visual production studio based out of Chicago. They provide recording services as well as digital and analog mastering. The HB logo is the company’s symbol and mantra, as well as a future symbol for their own personal beer labels for their in house brew.
The logo was designed around literal symbols, the guitar and the hops nugget. The guitar represents the love for music and the audio base of the company. The hop nugget represents beer which in turn is a symbol for friendship, togetherness, and all in all good times. The Letters themselves were designed in such a way that the logo takes on various shapes and pulls the viewer along its curves and white spaces.

well… it has beer… but except for that, nice visual balance, has meaning, and I reckon it fits pretty good with the company. not bad, sizing doesn’t go all that bad either.

all around, this one is good. A bit underwhelming but one of those silent success. it is unique and recognizable, even if a bit on the unimaginative side.

This is a great creative solution for what the client obviously wanted and it fits seamlessly into their vision. This photo doesn’t quite give the logo justice though, need to click on the image to see the original, better scale and design attributes. Nicely done.
The color version is spectacular, very fitting for the company. Look forward to seeing future work from this artist!
