The proportions aren’t very practical, even at the size above the word ‘bar’ is barely legible. Also I wouldn’t like to have to use this logo on everyday print jobs most businesses require. This isn’t really a logo at all, just a neon sign mock-up.
This is web/video/promotional version of the logo. There is a print version of this logo witch is made just from the neon lines. I tried to make the bar bigger but somehow the design lost its balance every time, also the the focus was shifted from the g.
P.S: Thanks for the Mention

This isn’t bad. I would really like to see the print version, though. I actually think it might be better.
Every time I saw it I read Go Bar, so the “o” is misleading. Also agree with Mark about the proportion. Otherwise nice concept for a guy bar.

Psychedelic, good looking.
This logo is a nice piece of artwork and must have the customers pretty happy.
I do agree that the word bar looks rather small, but proportions are sometimes too hard to achieve.
Nice piece of eye-candy thou

Even though I saw the title, I still thought the name was “Go” bar. It wasn’t until I read Mr. Sunnyz post that I noticed the name was “G Bar”.

It definitely says “go” bar. The circle around bar doesn’t seem necessary. What does it look like without the circle around ‘bar’? Perhaps you wont have as many scaling issues if you remove the circle, and at the same time making ‘bar’ more legible?
I agree, I almost read it “Go Bar” or at least read the smaller circle as a period. either proportion changes or ditching that circle all together could help.
Also, not sure why you would create a web/video version that needs to be different than the print one…I see consistency / recognition issues cropping up as a result of doing that.

How does this logo translate to BW or to print? Is it only meant to be printed on the gray or is this strictly meant to be an interactive/web logo? I don’t feel this design will translate well to all forms of media and promotion. If you can’t read it the life of this logo will be short.

Too many people now a days are making Web based logos. Where are the Print logos? Or at least include them.
