The simplicity is magnificent. I think I would go a little darker on the grey for some contrast. I don't think it's necessarily important to "know" what the "g" is. I think the logo evokes an emotional affect, and that is important with the type of business/service the logo represents. Overall: balanced, clean, clearly representative, needs a little more contrast for potential grayscale use. Great logo.
