The client set the task of developing a rather simple and easy to remember image, which could be recalled by anyone who saw it.
SOLUTION AND RESULTS
The ease and lightness of execution and the simplicity of the emblem were used to emphasize the “purity” of the name. During the development of the lettering, the abbreviation (“D”, “A”) was marked out in a graphical image and then stylized under the wings of an angel. To provide a more “digital” look, the angel’s halo was depicted in the form of a CD.

awesome logo, very clever, clean, simply yet intuitive
Nice mark, nice concept, although the text font I think could be better. Looks like the David Airey logo too.
….looking at the larger version via the link, I take back my comment about the font.
Yea I agree with Mike, first thing I saw was the David Airey logo. http://www.davidairey.com/
Very nice, clean and effective. Well done.
David Airey, Amen.
It’s great, well done. I’d like to see it applied, I’ll click through to your site and see if you have pictures of it in use. Perhaps the text is a bit small, the graphic element above dwarfs it a little.
nice… but does a cd really say digital? maybe a line would have simplified the logo.. but all in all well thought of!
It looks like a water company logo at first glance
I’m glad the initials didn’t make it in the final result. it looks great as it is.
Great… nice logo
Same font as on http://www.davidairey.com/
I dig it, however one could argue that it is very similar to the logomark for David Airey.
http://www.davidairey.com/
nice logo, but very unoriginal with the font… its the exact same font used for the David Airey logo
@Habs: yeah, I was just supposed to write that it looks like a rip-off off David Airey.
It is like David Airey’s logo but to the designer’s defense, there are a lot of logos that look like that. It just so happens that David Airey’s logo is quite famous and well-known in these parts of the web. A famous font is even similar to that kind of design, try searching the ‘Danube Pro’ font by Levente Halmos.
It is a nice design but not a unique one at that.
Yeah nice logo – it’s tru that Danube Pro is widely used – there’s another example on http://www.engage.co.za that i quite like.
There is not a lot you can do when the font is the main points in a logo. They’re going to be similarities.
yes David Airey uses this same style with his mark. I also pointed this out months back when this same logo was showcased on another site.
It’s not so much that David Airey owns that font it’s just that it reads as the same way David Airey uses this font. Yes It’s an angle I see that but it’s hard to compare the two.
Then again when Quark Express used it did anyone say they got it from David Airey? Better yet when Scottish Arts Council used it for their mark did anyone mention David Airey? how about these others:
bahamas.com
http://www.artworkers.org
torontounlimited.ca
designers-network.com
midasproductions.ie
moen.com
bavac.no (kinda)
dlrceb.ie (another twist of it)
so ok David uses it. Fair enough.
WHO CARES? *YAWN*

Right on the dot, Tom.
Just what I was trying to say (but of course, you said it much much better). People think that every design that resembles that of david’s logo is a copy of his. Well, they have to open their eyes wider to see that there are a whole lot more logos with similar styles which I’m sure were before David’s.
Just my 2 cents.
Nice sorry.. but sorry, it reminds me of other logos… whether it be David Airey, Bahamas.com or who ever else doesnt really matter.. the fact remains that it reminds me of other logo’s which makes it just an ‘ok’ one…
But i do really like the rest of the logos in their website. http://www.firon.com/portfolio/identity/
@Tom: this is basically David Airey’s logo with a circle added on top. Everything looks almost exactly the same. That’s the point. Most of the sites you’ve listed were creative enough to think about other uses of Danube. This is almost a copy, to be honest.
Jeff, this one is so obviously ‘David Airey’.
So… ?
david airey’s mark …?
Nice idea! Very modern.
Looks like someone forgot to do their research before they started the project…..
David Airey logo with a circle and some font under? Please!!! Hideous rip-off!!!
