I designed this logo donkeys years ago. I've no idea where the ear on the g came from as it's not part of the logo - looks like whoever posted this has added it, weird. Anyway glad it's got an overall seal of approval. The proper version is here - http://www.stylodesign.co.uk/r/branding/eight

The G really kills it for me, the ear is all off (agree with Dave above and others), the general slicing of that letter just doesn't work. However, the rest of the forms and the concept is nice. Tom, I wouldn't say the slicing of the number 8 into letters to form the word EIGHT is random. That would seem like a purposeful implementation, like some thought went into it, you know… designed.

I'm not a fan. It doesn't read well at all. The "E" is a nice start but the "I" doesn't look smooth and the dot on the "I" is weird and brakes the flow, some of the "G" is nice but falls apart the "H" I can kinda see it so it's ok but still looks weird the "T" looks nothing like one.

I'm one for different letter shapes and forms in all styles but this doesn't work. The slicing of the letters seem random and have little meaning to WHY!

The more I look at this the more I start to really dislike it.

Lets play pretend for a minute and say this works. How will this be used? Will it always be tilted? How does it look not tiled? Where you high when you designed this? (joking) :-)

I absolutely love it. The only thing I'd do differently is the tag on the "g"... I'd have probably used a little flippy like the dot on the "i" instead of the rounded corner, like Jamie said above.

Great job though!

I'm with Dave on this one...love it, but that ear on the "g" is the only rounded corner in the entire logo...seems a bit odd to me, but otherwise a nice logo overall.

I love it. The h looks like a dog's butt with the tail sticking up. But I think it looks great : )

I like this one for the same reasons as yesterday's Lochness logo - originality, good design, and recognition. Clever and well done.

I've seen variations of writing something using one shape, and although this is nice, I can't help but wonder what it will be used for. It just kinda looks like "practice logo".

Yes definitely have what the logo must have "synthesis", the concept of using 8 number variation to build the logo is original.

Really nice idea, I like it a lot. There's something about the spacing between the 'E' and 'i' that doesn't quite sit with me, but very minor. Good stuff!

I agree with Jennae - it's a bit tough on the eyes, but the shapes create an instantly memorable brand. Perhaps a bit of color would help out, but I like it!

The letterforms themselves are a bit tough on the eyes, but the key to a brilliant logo is instant recognition and memorability. The fact that each letter is a variation of the number 8 makes it completely clear what the logo says. I love it!

nice effort. the last letter (T) is hard to make out, but I could never do better so I guess I can't really complain.

I really like that all the letters are variations of an 8. it is really original and fresh.

All that remains is this question: Is this the new era of leetspeak?
