Good logo. I like the sideways 2. Granted, the idea is not totally unique but there are VERY few instances where a logo contains any element that hasn't been used before. The important thing is that you know when and how to properly use those components to make something your own.

To the designer, don't ever feel like you have to justify your work to people. If you know it was an original work then to hell with what others think. If you and the client are happy that's all that matters. As artists, when we start trying to justify our work that is the first step to mediocrity.

Keep up the good work and sorry for the long comment.

All ideas are recylcled. It is rare to find something that is absolutely NEW. With that said, I like the concept behind the Twins logo better then Frank. The 2 makes since in the context of what the company represents. Also in Franks logo it just looks like it was placed there, it doesn't mesh with the other letters as well.

Pat,
I'm with you on this one, Frank's branding has been around for a LONG time, and do fantastic work. Logo may have been created independent of the concept used by Frank, but I would not be surprised if it did.

Picasso said "don't copy, steal.." and there's alot of truth to that in a design world where inspiration is pulled from similar world influences and exposures. I can guarantee you that no one has "ripped you off," looks to be the other way around here by your reaction.

Thanks for adding my logo:)

My logo has been around for a long time and this is the first time anyone has questioned its originalty. So why can you assume that this isnt original? Because its been done before? ...or after?

The first version of the logo was posted on logopond a long time ago and later on logolounge. The first version is questionably similar to the one linked.

http://actiondesigner.com/twins1.png
http://actiondesigner.com/twins2.png

The modified version was added later and has since been in use. One can also ask ...what is the reason for frank to have a no 2 in the logo, whereas the twins concept validates the concept a whole lot more if you ask me.

You have seen the concept before? As in "I have seen numbers used as letters in logos before"??? This logo has been featured all over the net ...It won the Wolda best of nation with the sixth best overall score. I would assume Frank would be mention elsewhere by now. My logos have been ripped before. Im not saying this has been done here because of two different concepts - but one would think that just because of a seemingly more adapted agency it has to be the other way around.

Thanks again for the add. Much a appreciated:)
