A mark for an imprint of Penguin Putnam, the logo both captures New York City, which the name Gotham implies, but distinctly refers to publishing with the book forms used to create the skyscraper icon.

I like the design, but to be honest, I didn’t know that Gotham implied NYC. A nice touch.
In recent Comic Books, Gotham has been said to be a different city than New York, but it is true that in its origins, Gotham was a fictive city that represented New York.
I don’t know if there are other links between Gotham and New York.
Average Concept, Great execution…. it like the opposite of usual comments.
I simply love the fact that the Empire State is made out of books and is still recognisable.
very creative to have the books as the empire state building!
awesome logo design!
Very nice and creative. Cheers to the designer.
Props to this one! Gotham has always been NYC except for the most recent Batman movie when it was Chicago – why they did that, who knows?
The logo rocks either way!
I Like the logo, its great to see the empire state building of books.
Hmmm…Gotham Books
Interesting. I immediately saw the books and the empire state building. Nice work.
this is perfect, bout time we see some great logos coming to the site!
Brilliant! I love it.
I love it! The logo is just perfect!
Very clever and unique… Batman would be proud!

Leave it to me to misspell my name on a logo in the realm of comics… ;p
On a roll today…
Superb execution. This one made me smile. Definitely inspiring.
This logo concept was executed very well. You see books and the empire state building right away. Even if all you saw was a generic building made by books, the name gotham has enough connection to a city from batman for it to all make sense. I like the balance and it looks like it scales really well. Good job.
Fantastic concept and execution.
