wow strong comments about the skills of some designers “OPINION” Oh did we hurt your feelings? Get over it.

Also with my remarks about it i was pretty clear when “I” said it “reminds me…” and with Chase “…even though it’s different it still has the same feeling.”

So F*CK OFF with those comments. Email me directly if you want and we can compare skills and we shall see who may be a skip away from a full-time job at the BK Lounge.

Wow. I can’t believe some of the people here. If you honestly think that this logo mark looks too much like Chase or Picasa, and you are in the creative/design field, you need to seriously reconsider your skills.

This mark is great. It may not be an immediate first-read “Aha!” moment, but I would put a lot of good, hard-earned money on the fact that it’s an obvious second read for most people. Accompanied by the type treatment, it’s more than obvious, it’s actually more like —-> “Man, why am I so stupid, and why did it take me so long to GET that.”

Really, if you think this is equal to Chase, you should start over, go back to school, and do something else. I hear Environmental Science is a good place to head these days.

Take away the other brands and focus on this as being “creative” or “different” I would agree it is a nice way to bring in Photography and Weddings into a mark. It would be nice to see this mark animate (opening and closing shutter)

Would I have picked this as “logo of the day”? Maybe not.

Second Wedding photographer logo in a very short timeframe… is someone getting married soon?

I see that the bad mark-no critic squad did a number on this one…

Enough kidding, I like this logo. Took me some time to see the camera shutter but I liked it even before seing it, and now that I know what it is, it’s even more clever. I give it a solid 4!

I agree that it would be nice to see it in context – I didn’t get it at first glace, however, upon reading that it’s for a wedding photographer I see the ring and the shutter and I think it’s brilliant. Wedding photography logos/websites can lean towards the cute or sweet or even sometimes cheesy. This, however, is a bold design. Would def make me want to see the photographers portfolio.
