I just checked out the link to your other ideas. I like where you are going with the ‘S’, but I honestly liked your original typeface (black letters) shown above better. You just needs to make some adjustments on a few of the letters to make them similar in width and height.

I’ve been working on some other ideas. I’m liking using the ‘S’ to create an abstract seahorse. Plus, I think this would probably be a little more print-friendly.

Those are really great suggestions. I think I’ll try some of those. I made this a long time ago, so I’m starting to notice several ways to edit and make it more easily identifiable. It could definitely use some simplicity.

I think this logo is going in the right direction. It has flair and is unique but needs a (type)face lift. The letters of Seahorse look like they’re increasing in x-height and kerning as it goes on. It goes from tight to spacey. If it was trying to mimic hand lettering which has those inconsistencies,I would have made each ‘e’ a little different.

I think bumping down the S to the baseline of ‘diaries’ would tighten it up a bit too.

As for the ‘S’, I think the flourish at the end and the style ‘S’ need to look more in sync. The flourish is a really smooth vector and the ‘S’ is more jaggedy.

Other than that I think that the logo has a good personality which suits the blog.

I like this overall, but I wish the S was more in the shape of an actual seahorse… could have bee even more fun and interesting.

I don’t think, “simple,” was used anywhere in my brief. That really had me on the floor laughing. My sister is anything but simple.

And yes, it is only meant for Web use.

well for the use it’s gonna get, it’s perfect.

keep in mind, this logo will ONLY be featured on the internet. Much of the regular considerations for a logo are dumped.

Atrsy, stylish and probly perfect for the blog.

I must admit I was gonna give this a bad rating but I read the description and for what it’s used for, it’s close to perfect.
