There are a lot of people here who think that the core principles of good logo design are irrelevant and outdated. Usually I find that gobs of color, transparency, gradients, drop shadows etc are attempts at disguising either a lack of concept or lack of talent. This logo shows how much can be done with so little, and gives the rest of us a clarity of vision to aspire to. DChuck makes a good point. I don't like the comany behind it! I've had trouble in the past after I made a donation and they didn't project a good image. I can't give it a bad score just because of that... it's a nice logo.
