personally the “a” looks like an “o” as in “ploy”…

you dont immediately get it.

imo its easy to get the word “play” because of the symbol. although it doesnt directly point on videogames it actually seems to lean more on music.

May I see it in a website? :p

I like the bgcolor for the logo, makes me think that its used as a corporate tone. I agree with Aslam, I think that the concept of the PLAY triangle has been overused.

It would have helped balance and consistency if the botom left curve of teh L was equal to the bottom right curve of the Y.

Not truly necessary, but I’m kind of nitpicky on these sort of things.

I would have to agree with the comments above. With a word like PLAY, which has easily been subjected to thousands of various designs, it is going to be extremely hard to come up with something original that critics won’t tear apart. You gotta bring your “A game” when you take this logo on, my suggestion is to put your boxing gloves on and get back in the ring!

I think it’s great for it’s audience. Any video gamer would be able to read this and understand it. I agree with Greg though, I wish the length of the L and Y were consistent.
