Memorable, cute, and simple. However, I’m not a fan of the typography.. the “z” is out of place and the colons are misaligned with the parentheses.. BUT is a great concept and definitely brought a smile to my face

this is my fav of the logos featured so far — but as such an uber internet nerd, i’m partial to emoticons.

Actually find this logo a little insulting. Having family with schizophrenia the biggest misconception is that the disease refers to ’split personalities’. Schizophrenia is basically the inability to distinguish fantasy from reality. What this design refers to bipolar disorder etc. Strikes me as a fast design that suffers from a lack of research.

I agree with Mike. I think this serves to further and re-inforce the basic and common misunderstanding of schizophrenia.

Do you believe the logo would have worked if it said something else underneath of the logo, maybe bipolar? I myself didn’t really have an understanding of schizophrenia either and I actually thought it was more to do with fear & having two personalities but thanks for clarifying Mike.

Hey Jacob – I think this logo would be more well suited for a treatment center. Bereavement, counseling, addiction etc. I like the concept, I just think that it missed the mark for what it was for.

@Mike and Sam: I definitely had no intentions of having this logo make fun of the schizophrenic disorder. I came up with the concept and figured that schizophrenic would be the most recognized name to go with it.

I guess it would have been more ‘correct’ to call it “Dissociative Identity Disorder”. This logo is NOT currently associated with any company at the moment and is for sale on IncSpring.com. Thus, if this logo is used for an actual identity someday it most likely won’t have the word ’schizophrenic’ tagged to it.

I completely agree. Reinforces misconceptions about schizophrenia and contributes to ignorance. Not to be humorless, it’s a nice design. Family member has the disease.
